Craniosacral Massage

Light touch is used on the bones of the skull, face, down to the tailbone to assist the natural movement of fluid within the craniosacral system.

Cupping

The placement of cups on tissue to help increase blood flow allowing the manipulation of soft tissue. Client must be aware there may be changes in coloration of the tissue.

Esalen Massage

The practitioner works with the receiver, rather than on the client. Today the Esalen massage signature flow is punctuated with deep tissue detail, joint mobilizing, stretches, and energy work. Tension melts away and yields to a state of harmony

Gua Sha

A method of promoting blood circulation and removing toxic heat, blood, and lymph from the body, gua sha involves scraping the skin with a flat tool to facilitate pain relief. Oil and herbs are usually applied to the skin to open the pores

Hot Stone Massage

Hot (sometimes cold) stones applied to tissue, with Swedish techniques and gentle pressure, eases muscle tension, promotes relaxation, relieves stress, improves blood flow.

Lomi Lomi Massage

Hawaiian system of massage utilizes very large, broad movements. The use of two-handed rhythmic flowing strokes with forearms and elbows covering a broad area, is characteristic of lomilomi. Oils are used in the application of cross-fiber friction techniques.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

This gentle technique helps cleanse the connective tissue of inflammatory materials and toxins, enhances the activity of the immune system, reduces pain, and lowers the activity of the sympathetic nervous system. Aids with conditions such as edema, fibromyalgia, lymphedema, digestive problems, migraine and fatigue. Not recommended for people who suffer from blood clots, liver and kidney problems.

Myofacial Release Massage

Myofascial Release is the three-dimensional application of sustained pressure and movement into the fascial system in order to eliminate fascial restrictions and facilitate movement. It is an effective therapeutic approach in the relief of cervical pain, back pain, fibromyalgia, scoliosis, neurological dysfunction, restriction of motion, chronic pain, and headaches.

Prenatal Massage (12 weeks and over)

Specific gentle techniques (usually side lying) can reduce pregnancy discomforts like lower back pain  and enhance the physiological and emotional well-being of both mother and fetus.

Reflexology

Similar to acupressure principles, reflexology works with the body’s energy flow to stimulate self-healing and maintain balance in physical function. This technique is used to reduce pain, increase relaxation, and stimulate circulation of blood and lymphatic fluids. It is especially useful in stress-related illness and emotional disorders.

Sports Massage

Pre event massage helps warm up muscles, increase circulation, range of motion, post event massage calms the nervous system, flushes toxins from the body. When an athlete sustains an injury, skillful massage therapy can often speed and improve the quality of healing.

Thai Massage

Massage is practiced on a floor mat using palms and the practitioners body weight in a sequence of movements following sen energy lines and yoga like stretching. Except for the feet, the client remains fully clothed

Thai Foot Reflexology

This modality combines the ancient practice of Reflexology and Thai Massage stimulating reflex points in the foot that correlate to organs in the body and working on “sen” lines to free up energetic blocks. Additionally, the client receives a therapeutic massage to the feet and lower legs to relieve soreness or fatigue

Trigger Point Massage

A noninvasive therapeutic modality using alternating levels of pressure for the relief and control of myofascial pain and dysfunction. The goal of treatment is the client’s recovery from, or a significant reduction in, myofascial pain, increased range of motion, strength, endurance, and other measures of improved function.
